When is Gay Pride?

Queer Film Festivals, Pride Parades, Leather Weekends, Lesbian Music Festivals, Bear Runs, LGBT Job Fairs and so much more! LGBT Pride events attract millions of participants around the world. The purpose of LGBT Pride is to recognize the impact that lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender individuals have had on history locally, nationally, and internationally and to celebrate our Pride.

  • Joplin Missouri Pridefest – Pridefest is an annual event hosted by Joplin Pride to celebrate diversity. It is a festival where members of the LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender) community gather together, enjoy each other’s company, and partake in activities such as drag entertainment, educational talks, and retail entertainment from local vendors in the local community. Pridefest is a family-friendly event open to every community member so that they may enjoy the activities and their children in a diverse and tolerant atmosphere. Joplin, MO; Sept 6-8, 2024

  • FilmOut San Diego - FilmOut San Diego's mission is to enlighten, educate, and entertain the communities of San Diego County and beyond through the exhibition of LGBT-themed films. It seeks to recognize, promote, celebrate, and support the important, diverse artistic contributions LGBT filmmakers make to our community. San Diego, CA; Sept 7-10, 2024

  • Vancouver Queer Film Festival – Celebrating the best in independent queer cinema, the Vancouver Queer Film Festival is Vancouver’s second-largest film festival and the largest queer arts event in Western Canada. More than just film, the Festival hosts performances, workshops, panel discussions, parties, and more, facilitating a unique community space for 11 days each August.   • Honolulu Rainbow Film Festival  – The Honolulu Gay & Lesbian Cultural Foundation was founded in 1997 as a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to educate and raise awareness of the community at large about gay & lesbian culture, arts, and lifestyle.   • Leicester Pride – Leicester Pride is Leicester’s annual Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) festival, held at the beginning of September But! There’s much more to Leicester Pride than the one day event and, the festival will span a full nine days with a series of art, culture, sport, music and film events celebrating the great diversity of the LGBT community.   • Polari Film Festival – aGLIFF- The Austin Gay and Lesbian International Film Festival was founded in 1987 and became a 501(c)3 in 1995. This year we celebrate 27 years of programming for the Austin community, aGLIFF has grown tremendously in size and scope from a short four-day run of four films primarily focused on coming out and AlDS to a multifaceted nonprofit organization with year-round community programs culminating in our annual film festival program, with over 100 films depicting a myriad of issues across cultures, race, immigration status, class, gender identity and expression, age, and religion.   • Pride in the Park – Roanoke Pride, Inc. is the guiding force behind the season-long series of activities and events known collectively as Pride. The center piece of our Pride celebration is the Festival “Pride In the Park”.   • Pride Vermont Festival –  The Pride Parade is a beloved institution here in Vermont and throughout the world. It began as a anniversary celebration of the Stonewall Riots but has evolved over time to encompass the many LGBT heroes, struggles, and victories since. Pride Parades are held at different times in different places. It begins at the south end of Church St. and ends at Battery Park where the festival is held!   • Mid-South Pride – The annual Mid-South Pride Festival is the single largest gathering for the LGBT community and its allies in the Mid-South. It attracts more than 8,000 attendees and includes entertainment featuring musicians, bands, speakers, and dance performances.  The Festival features more than 80 vendor and informational booths, great food, and of course, the Pride Parade rolling down Historic Beale Street.   • Glitter Festival GC – Arts and Culture Festival, celebrating all things gay on the GC. The Arts Centre Gold Coast has launched a new and inclusive festival, showcasing the fabulous, and celebrating all things gay.  The Arts Centre Gold Coast launched the Gold Coast City’s inaugural Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex, Queer and Allied Communities festival on Thursday 12 March, 2015 at QT Gold Coast Hotel. The week-long celebration of arts and culture begins on September 28, climaxing over the Labour Day long weekend in early October. The program will include cabaret, theatre, art gallery displays, and films. There’s a race day planned at the Gold Coast Turf Club which is destined to become a signature event. There’ll also be a marketta around The Arts Centre lake with live performers and street vendors.   • Lesbisch-Schwule Filmtage KarlsruheThe festival kicks off with the crowd favorite and Teddy winner of last Berlinale the Swiss documentary film full circle. The documentary is represented this year coinciding with several outstanding works.
